ZELUS GFT SERIES
B.B. Battery batteries Zelus GFT series is a VRLA Front-Terminal battery with a gelified electrolyte; the sulfuric acid is mixed with silica fume, which makes the resulting mass gel-like and immobile. GEL batteries virtually eliminate the electrolyte evaporation, spillage (and subsequent corrosion Issues) common to the wet-cell battery, and more features like greater resistance to extreme temperatures, shock, and vibration. The valve regulation system allows for gas to be expelled. They are the same as wet (non-sealed) batteries except that the antimony in the lead plates is replaced by calcium. This preserves the mechanical characteristics but renders the construction far less prone to gassing.
Battery batteries from the GFT series are produced as 12-volt monoblocks with capacities ranging from 100 to 150 Ah. The batteries can be installed in both horizontal and vertical positions. The expected service life under normal operating conditions is as follows: GFT series batteries – 15 years, or in cycles: up to 2500 cycles.
B.B. Battery batteries from the GFT series are ideal power sources for uninterruptible power supplies, fire and security alarm systems, emergency lighting and surveillance systems, telecommunication facilities, medical equipment, street lighting and traffic lights, golf cars, floor cleaning equipment and renewable energy (solar energy, wind energy).
